He Was A Hab?

Did you know that Jesse Belanger was a Hab?  How about Pat Jablonski?  Zarley Zalapski?  If you didn't know they were Habs, this is the place where you can check out many players that were Habs at one time or another.

This Week's Hab

This week's Hab was drafted in the 1988 67th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he would win a Stanley Cup.  This two-time Cup winner played in Montreal from 1994-95 until 1998-99.  He's played for six other teams besides Montreal.  He played alongside Saku Koivu for most of his seasons in Montreal.

Last Week's Hab: Brian Savage (1993-1999)

Savage played in Montreal wearing the #49.  He was touted to be the next great Canadiens goal scorer until he floundered in the mid 90s up to his vicious neck injury against the LA Kings

He would later play for the Phoenix Coyotes, St. Louis Blues, and Philadelphia Flyers before retiring in the mid 2000s.
